Women and sport :
Women have held high leadership positions in sport, such as presidents and general secretaries of national Olympic committees. Women are increasingly employed in all areas of sport as coaches, sports directors, journalists, officials and sportswomen.
The importance of sports for women
Sport is beneficial for the physical and mental health of women. Regular physical activity can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and certain types of cancer. It can also improve quality of life, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve self-confidence.
