Psychological Health:
Psychological health is related to the spiritual aspect of a person. By believing in God and His piety, performing various acts of worship, and showing virtuous morals; The true believer does not know mental illnesses a way to him, because he does not fear illness, poverty or calamities because he knows that the provider is God, and that nothing will happen to him except what is destined for him
Psychological health or physical health cannot exist in isolation (a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, and vice versa), but physical and psychological functions must depend on each other.
Haw I do to maintain my psychological health:
1-Dealing with stress
Stress is common in everyday life, but being under constant stress can affect our health. Whatever the causes of stress, we can learn ways to reduce stress and manage stress well, including stress at work (stress management). For example, take a five-minute break from your usual routine, share lunch with colleagues at work, or do a new activity at the weekend. A few minutes is enough to get rid of stress and help improve your mood.
2-Avoid stimulants:
Stimulants such as caffeine, energy drinks, and tobacco, as well as some other drugs, negatively affect our general health and may contribute to psychological problems in the long term. Therefore, it is better to avoid them completely or gradually reduce the amount and number of times they are used.
3- Self-acceptance and positive thinking:
Learning to accept that we are all different and have different skills, abilities and attributes is an essential step in improving wellness. Understanding and appreciating these differences, both our own and others', helps us build positive relationships. Let's try to identify negative thoughts, replace them with positive ones, and spend more time doing enjoyable activities that occupy our minds more.
4-Be sociable, interested in others, and connect with them
Connecting with friends and family makes us feel included and cared for. The people close to us can offer different perspectives on what is going on inside ourselves, and they can help us solve our practical problems and keep us active and connected to reality. When we talk about our feelings and exchange our thoughts with people, this contributes to our feeling of comfort and support, especially in cases of discomfort and stress. This is part of taking responsibility for our own wellness and supporting those around us to stay healthy.
