the two famous sociologist work on the term biography:

digie demazier and Claude debard : 

Didier Demazière is research director at the CNRS. He developed a sociology of activities and professional groups. He also focused on the problems of unemployment and their links to the biographical processes of individuals. He is notably the author of Sociologie des chômeurs, a work published in 2006.
Claude Dubar is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. His work on the sociology of professions focuses more particularly on the professional integration of young people and the training of adults. Among other things, he is the author of La formation professionnelle continue, republished in 2000.
